About

Two Shannon Gaels Flags

A little Club History from Shannon Gaels. The club was founded in 2006 by Ashling Creighton and Clodagh Corrigan. 2015 was the year Shannon Gaels last won a title and were crowned the 2015 Intermediate Champions; James Deane was manager and Clodagh Corrigan the captain. This was the first Adult Competition in Roscommon LGFA to have a female ref and four female umpires officiating at the match which was a historic moment in itself.

The club caters for underage groups of U6, U8, and U10; which builds the foundation skills for the future. Divisions of U12, U14, U16, Junior, Intermediate and Senior all compete at the county level, and have had great success in the last year, with the U12 and U14 winning county shields. The U16 and Seniors made it to the county finals, which is a great achievement for the club.
